Sächsische Modellbahner-Vereinigung e. V. (Saxon Railway Modeller Association)

The Sächsische Modellbahner-Vereinigung e. V. (or SMV for short) stands for active, continuous and competent association work for railway modellers and fans of Saxon railway transportation, and also extending far beyond these state boundaries. The SMV was founded in 1991 and currently unites more than 60 associations with in excess of 1,000 members, who are linked together in almost all the German federal states. In the SMV great importance is attached to the common hobby of model railways and rail travel, the sociable interchange of experience as well as the organisational and PR activities. Sponsoring members help to financially secure the association’s life.

TILLIG Modellbahnen has been a supporting member for many years and has already been able to organise many special model railway special activities along with the SMV. Thus SMV is a reliable partner at “Open day” in Sebnitz that is held every year.
