Double-deck
Subsequent installations of contacts for the lighting of H0 double deck coach:
The bogie frame of the double-decker carriages are prepared for the installation of contacts. However, the intended contacts no longer form part of the range due to their insufficient functionality.
However, you have the option of assembling the contacts used in the control car without much effort. When doing this make sure that the double decker carriages have two different bogie mounting points. One bogie has 1 point of contact and one bogie has 2 points of contact.
The installation of the contacts is only possible for a bogey with a single point mounting. In this way it will become necessary to mount both contacts in a bogie and not as is normally the case with both bogies to have the current drawn from the bogies.
Installation of the contacts: | ||||
1. Disassemble the bogey, remove wheel sets. | ||||
2. Remove the bolt at the lower side of the bogie frame: | 3. Produce boreholes with a diameter of 2.5 mm instead of the bolts: | 4. Mount two contacts (Article 398630): | ||
5. Install the wheel sets, align the contacts and solder on the wires: | ||||
Solder the wire to the grinder departing from the side. This prevents the wire looping on the underbody and a short circuit from occurring. | ||||
6. Guide the wire through longitudinal recess into the wagon’s interior. Mount the bogies. Download here |
